Virginia Creek above the Conway Ranch Diversion

The proposed diversion is in the woods near the road above the present diversions and the road crossing. The new diversion would be a very similar small dam leading to a headrace across the open meadow,

Conway Ranch Diversion

Six cubic feet per second passing through the Parshall measurement flume.   The new diversion measurement would be similar.

Winter View down to the powerhouse and Route 395

The powerhouse site would be next to Rt. 395 on the foreground.  The Conway ranch and Mono Lake is beyond.  This photo, below, with Mr. Ely in it is taken from the top of the future penstock.

Note the power lines immediately available.  The area is disturbed with a small road.   The pile in the foreground is a Caltrans sand pit - in heavy use in the winter.
